Introduction

The World Day for International Justice is also known as The Day of International Criminal Justice or International Justice Day. It is celebrated on the 17th of July, and it marks the anniversary of the Rome Statute which was adopted in Rome on 17th July, 1998. The Rome Statute is the treaty that established the International Criminal Court (ICC); it serves as the foundational and governing document for the ICC.
