November Activity – JUSTICE CARD
OBJECTIVES
- Students will become alert to situation of unfair & injustice around them.
- Students will be able to comprehend the meaning of Justice and Fairness.
OUTCOMES
- Students will be able to describe their understanding of justice and be able to identify examples of justice and injustice in their own lives.

MATERIAL REQUIRED
Scenario cards, Pen and notebooks.
STEPS OF THE ACTIVITY
Session 1: For a 45 min session Step 1-3
Step 1 – Introduction
Time: (5-7 Min)
Teacher will share this situation:
You went to watch a movie/museum with your family. Your family is standing in a queue to purchase the tickets from last half an hour on a sunny day. A big car stops near the gate, influential family gets down, watchman gets the tickets directly from window without standing in a queue for them and they go inside.
Teacher will then ask the students, what can be done in to make this unfair situation fair.
Teacher will then tell the students, in today’s activity we will in group we will look at some situations in form of pictures and try to identify ways to ensure fairness and justice in them.
Step 2 – Justice Card
Estimated Time (30 Mins)
1. Divide the class into 4-5 group ensuring 6-8 students in each group.
2. Explain students about the activity that each group will get one picture card.
3. Task is to read and understand the scenario and discuss the following questions in group:
- a) What does the picture/situation show?
- b) Is this fair/Justified? Yes/No and Why?
- c) What should be done to ensure fairness/justice in such situations?
- d) Write in one sentence what justice means to your group.
4. Give 10 minutes of time to class to prepare.
5. Invite each group to present their answers. Each group will have 3-4 mins to present.
Note: If time for presentation is not available ask students to display their Answers on Noticeboard and everyone can see other groups card in break/recess time.
Step 3 – Debrief
Estimated Time (5-7 Mins)
Ask students the following questions to debrief the activity:
- How many times have you felt that the situation was not fair?
- What can we do to not be unfair/do injustice to others in daily life?
- What does justice mean to you?
Reflection Sheets, Activity Report & Feedback Form
Teachers kindly fill in the feedback form, remind office bearers to fill activity report and remind students also to fill up the reflection sheets.
