Justice & Constitution
Overview
September, a month studded with days of national importance and festivals. The theme for this month is ‘Justice and Constitution,’ and we have designed the following:
- In classroom activity – We would like to begin with a powerful weapon of any democracy, i.e., “Debate and discussion” to gather information as “Right to Information” and get an understanding of putting the facts democratically. In this activity, we are touching a very effective topic of frequent internet shutdown and providing a platform to ACTIZENs to think, analyse and present the facts.
- School Level Activity – that could also be a Teachers’ Day Activity we introduce the students to ‘Mooting and Introduction to Moot courts’ as a first step to understanding the complexities of the legal system, where the students simulate a court scene on ‘Cyberbullying of Teachers’ and involve the audience in helping the judge in reaching a judgment.
- Community engagement activity – We would like our partner teachers to enhance the experience of Mooting one level up by giving our ACTIZENs an experience of actual court by a ‘Visit to the Court’ activity.
- Research-based activity – We designed this activity to sensitise the students to bullying and ask them to explore how they can participate in framing ‘Antibullying Policies’ in their schools.
