Aarogya Setu App
Type of Activity – Research Based Activity
Introduction
“Aarogya Setu Mobile App is an important weapon in the fight against COVID-19.”
Aarogya Setu is a COVID-19 contact tracing app developed by the Ministry of Electronics and IT. It detects and tracks the user’s movement with the help of GPS and Bluetooth sensors and sends out a notification if they meet infected people by using its database and algorithms. Users must enter their personal information while registering on the app and the data will be shared only with the Government of India. It does not share data with third parties as mentioned in the app’s privacy policy.
This month Desh Apnayen urges the young leaders or ACTIZENS to research more about this app and how helpful it is in keeping us and our families safe from spreading of COVID-19.

- Active – Spreading a word about the app and make parents and family members download and use the same.
Expected Outcomes
- Students will gain knowledge about the Aarogya Setu app and its benefits during this pandemic.
- Students will get information and analyse the features thoroughly.
- Students will be able to spread information and help others to stay safe by using the app.
